Weekend Projects

I used a charm pack from Moda Fabrics to make a placemat for my bookcase and a table runner for my dining room table. I think that they came out pretty nice.

I used my scraps from my swing bag to make another pin cushion. I like making pin cushions, I don't think that you can have too many of them. Ha!!

Oh and here is Oscar playing with his favorite elephant stuffed animal. Check out his left ear? Ha. He is soo cute!

Other then a little bit of sewing I had a relaxing weekend. I went and visited with a friend whom I haven't seen in over 3 years and found two new pairs of jeans for $10 bucks a piece. Definately a good deal!
How was your weekend?

More Sewing Projects

Ok I promise that I am done with sewing for a while. I just couldn't help myself. I got an email this morning that my quilt shop was having a sale on Amy Butler, only $6.75 a yard. So I went on my lunch break and bought some half yards. I wasn't going to make anything but I just loved this bright blue pattern and I had to make another Swing Bag. This is by far my favorite bag yet!! I just love the bright blues. I still love my green one that I made this weekend too, but that one I made bigger so its like too big for a purse. I'm thinking a good travel bag or a beach bag? Total cost to make this bag was $15 bucks for the fabric and lining. This bag took a total of 2 and 1/2 hours. I started at like 5:30 or so after I had dinner and then I was done when American Idol started.

This is a pin cushion that I made with my scraps from my other bag. I made this this weekend.

These are some gadget cases that I made this weekend. I got the idea from the Sew Mama Sew blog. I made one for my Zune, my camera, and for my rotary cutter. I tihnk that I need to learn how to put on snaps because I think that these would be much better with snaps. Plus I want a snap on my purse too.

I think that I have run out of ideas of what to make....

Weekend Sewing Projects

Three day weekends are great for sewing stuff!!
I made another one of Amy Butler's Swing bags this morning. I added pockets on the inside and added more interfacing. I used Joel Dewberry's fabric and Amy Butler's for the pockets.

This is a pincushion that I made using scraps that I had from other projects. I ended up making two of these.

These are Amy Butler's stash and dash bags that I made with some cute fabric from Joann's.

Other then sewing, me and Tom went to dinner last night with Jason and Laura. We went to Bonefish and it was soo yummy!! We had bang bang shrimp, seared ahi tuna (my personal favorite) and I had steak and Tom had steak and lobster. Yummy!!
Oh and I made Tom his breakfast which turned out pretty good.
Ok back to sew something else, I'm on a roll this weekend!

Early Valentine's Presents

So Tom told me the other day that I was only getting dinner and a card for Valentine's. Ok I said. Didn't bother me.

Well today I came home to a table full of stuff.
He got me this shirt, which is kind of tight cause its a size small. But it says I love my Boyfriend! Ha!

I also got this cute frog mug, cupcakes, candy, a candle,

pajama shorts, another t-shirt, some pajama capris,

this cute singing dog, who wags his tale. He is soo cute!...

and this huge frog balloon!! I also got 2 cards but I'm going to save those for tomorrow cause I still haven't even filled out his card yet so I didn't want to open mine.
My boyfriend is crazy!!

Valentine's Dilemma

So I told Tom that I was going to make him breakfast for Valentine's Day. I asked him what he wanted, thinking that he would say bacon and eggs or pancakes and sausage or something, nope not Tommy boy, he wants country fried steak with gravy. Now how in the heck do I make that? I have no idea, help me please!! I guess this is what I get for opening up my big mouth, I should of just made what I wanted to make and given it to him, not given him options!! ugh.

Oh and does anyone know what my new nickname is??? "Patty Pink"!! ha. All the guys at work call me that. I guess cause most of the time I have pink on, plus the whole Patty thing is just what happens I guess when people don't want to say Patricia. I used to hate it but now I'm so used to it that it just feels normal. It's almost weird when people call me Patricia, even Tom calls me Patty all the time.
I do like the guys that I work with at my new job. They are funny and really nice. I love my new job too. It's kind of boring at times but the work is easy enough to do and I don't feel pressure or have someone watching over my shoulder all the time. I just do what I'm suppose to do and I'm left alone. I definately like it that way.

Ok, I'm going back to watching American Idol now.

Oscar is a crazy dog!!

Just Finished Projects

This is a quilt that I just finished. I kind of made up my own pattern. It came out really nice once I washed and dried it. All crinkly and cozy.

It has a border on it but you can't really tell from the pic. I don't have enough floor space to lay this out to take a picture of it. oh well you get the idea.

These are some Amy Butler Stash and Dash bags that I made. This is the second time that I have used the pattern. For some reason this pattern is much harder then her handbags. I'm not good at putting stupid zippers on but these came out ok. The blue one has the pleats on the bottom but the pink one doesn't. Sorry for the blurry pic.
Oh and I ordered some fabric to make another Amy Butler handbag. Hopefully I will get it this week and make it.

It's Over

I finished all 4 of the Twilight Series books. Man were they good. The second one annoyed me, only cause Edward was barely in it, but it made up for it in the end. Now what the heck am I going to read? Any suggestions?
Oh and can I just say how freaking hot Robert Pattison is. I have been looking at pictures on Flickr and he is just like uh so stinking hot!!
I can't wait for the movie New Moon to come out in November and for Twilight to come out on DVD in March so that I can stare at Edward all day.
Ha Ha!

Oh and I have been doing some sewing, working on a quilt for my bed. I should have pictures up soon. The top is almost done!!
